Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja during an interview replied to the Indian legend Kapil Dev’s comments “Sometimes, when too much money comes, arrogance comes”, Jadeja said everyone (ex-players) has their own opinion but I think there is nothing like that in the team, he continued to say that everyone is enjoying their game (cricket) and are working hard, he also said the current young team is very talented and are giving their 100% whenever they are getting the chances.
Kapil Dev’s comments:
“Differences come out, the good (thing) about these players…is that they are very confident. Negative point is they think they know everything. I don’t know how to put it better than that. But they are confident, but they think ‘you don’t have to ask anybody’. What we believe is an experienced person can help you,”
“Sometimes, when too much money comes, arrogance comes. These cricketers, they feel they know everything. That’s the difference. I would say there are so many cricketers who need help. When Sunil Gavaskar is there, why can’t you talk? Why should there be ego? They feel they are good enough. Maybe they are good enough, but extra help from somebody, who has seen 50 seasons of cricket, won’t hurt. He knows which side the grass grows and where the sun comes out from,” he said.
Question asked to Ravindra Jadeja in an Interview: A statement has come from the former captain Kapil Dev where he said because of IPL money the players have become too proud and arrogant, What do you think about it as a current member of the team?
“I didn’t know when he (Kapil Dev) gave this statement as I’m not that active on social media, I will say everyone (ex-players) has their own opinion on what they feel, but I say nothing is like that, everyone is enjoying their game (cricket) and all are working hard, it’s not like players have taken it for granted, no one is fixed in the team, everyone is working hard and whenever anyone is getting chances they are giving their 100% and trying to win matches for India,” Jadeja said.
“I think comments and questions arise only when India losses some matches but I dont think anything is like this and no one is arrogant or proud everyone individually represents India and everyone has their nature on how someone talks to others, I cant comment on this as everyone has their nature, but Everyone is hardworking and the young talant of India’s group is good, everyone is representing India so we are keeping our country in our mind and are playing there is no individual or personal agenda” he added.
