Wanindu Hasaranga Full Biography

Wanindu Hasaranga was born on 29th July 1997 in Galle, Sri Lanka. Hasaranga is the younger brother of cricketer Chaturanga who represented the Sri Lankan Cricket team in the year 2015. Wanindu is a great Bowling all-rounder as well as was the main reason he became part of the national cricket team. In Wanindu’s life, the seed of cricket was planted late in his really early age when he was a student at Richmond School in Galle, Sri Lanka. His elder brother gives a major role in life to give him motivation because he is too involved in cricket and later was selected for the national side sooner or later Wanindu Picked up the pace in cricket and performed very well in National as well as list a Cricket series and was picked up in the domestic squad for the under 19 cricket team.

Reckons Hesson state how Wanindu Hasaranga join IPL. He said ”We have a scouting program that has been in place for the last two years where we know almost every player that is playing cricket around the world at a decent level. Wanindu had been on our radar for a long time. We needed a replacement in the last IPL; he was certainly the person we called upon. It’s not a recency factor”.

The 24-year-old all-rounder created an impression, primarily with the ball, when India went to Sri Lanka in July for a limited-overs series last year, with a 3-for in the 2nd ODI and 7-wickets – including a 4 for 9 – to top the bowling charts in the 3-T20Is. At the end of that series, Hasaranga has placed 2nd among T20I bowlers in the ICC rankings.

Wanindu Hasaranga has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for ₹10.75 crores. The Sri Lankan all-rounder cricketer had a base price of ₹1 crore.
