The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officially announced the 15-men Team India team for the next 2022 T20I World Cup on Monday (September 12). Star bowlers Jasrpit Bumrah and Harshal Patel made their return to the side after gone the 2022 Asia Cup due to fitness issues.
In the duo’s absence, India’s bowling attack lacked venom during the lastly concluded Asia Cup, where they issued during the Super 4 stage. Their comeback will also boost the team’s expectation in death overs after Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya battled in the role during their injury hiatus.
Due to recurrent failures over the previous few months, selectors decided to forget Avesh Khan from the Indian Team for the 2022 T20 World Cup, which will be performed in Australia.
Seasoned veteran Ravichandran Ashwin cutting out of Ravi Bishnoi for a spot in the team. Arshadeep Singh also kept onto his spot as the 4th seam bowling option despite his current indifferent powerplay bowling returns.
