MS Dhoni had led Chennai Super Kings(CSK) to 4-IPL titles, but he had the decision to step down as skipper in a shock announcement before the first match of TATA IPL 2022. Ravindra Jadeja had been handed over the captaincy, but Dhoni often looked to be making the calls and changing field placements on the ground.

An official announcement from CSK said Jadeja handed the captaincy back to MS Dhoni to focus on his match.
“Ravindra Jadeja has decided to relinquish captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game & has requested MS Dhoni to lead CSK. MS Dhoni has accepted to lead CSK in the larger interest & to allow Jadeja to focus on his game,” the statement read.
Against Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) in the season’s opening game, MS Dhoni smashed a rapid-fire 50 and then turned the clock back with a fantastic blitz against Mumbai Indians, taking CSK to an exciting last-ball victory. Live TV Show.
Jadeja– was part of the squad since IPL 2012. He became the 3rd performer to lead the Super Kings side, after Dhoni and Suresh Raina. During the beginning of this season, Dhoni had handed him the captaincy.
Apart from CSK’s misery in the IPL seriously, Jadeja’s own game has also experienced due to the pressure that comes with a leadership role as he has scored only 112 runs and taken 5-wickets in the 8-games far.
