Chris Woakes is an English Cricketer he is also part of the 2019 world cup squad. He is known for his discipline swing bowling. He made his debut against Australia in the fifth Ashes test in 2013. On the same tour, he also made his debut in both ODIs and T-20 and made a great impact from both bat and ball. He started playing when he was 7 years old with the Aston manor Cricket club in 2006. in 2005 he was the 3rd leading wicket-taking in the tri-series. After the Ashes 2015 series, he was a regular member of the England team and he also selected for the world cup 2019.in the given sub-Section we will discuss his life and achievements.

- In 2016 against Sri Lanka in the second test he took 9 wk just giving 36 runs.
- On 21 June 2016, he scored his highest ODI score of unbeaten 95 runs in the first ODI against Sri Lanka. His score is the highest ODI score by number eight or lower in ODI history.
- In 2016 against Pakistan Woakes took figures of 6–70 in Pakistan’s first innings of the first Test. He followed this up with 5–32 in Pakistan’s second innings.
- He won Man of the Match in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against Australia taking 3 wickets to see England through to the World Cup Final against New Zealand for the first time since 1992. Woakes again took 3 wickets in the final as England would go on to win the World Cup
