Darren Sammy was born on 20 DEC 1983 in Saint Lucia in his childhood Sammy used to play cricket also his interest in cricket was more than the study. his father Wilson Sammy was a farmer to help his family Sammy worked as an office assistant at the Ministry of Commerce.
At the age of 15, Sammy started playing matches with clubs he improved and practiced his cricket skills by playing club matches after five years Sammy got a chance to play for a west-indies cricket team.
Sammy made his first Debut in ODI against New Zealand in 2004 but due to rain that match was declared and unluckily Sammy couldn’t show his performance after this during champions trophy against Bangladesh Sammy took 1 wicket in six over with 19 runs and 3 important catches but then this was first and the last match for Sammy in this tournament. After 3 years made his test debut in 2007 against England where he took 7 wickets for 64 runs this match was Darren Sammy’s turning point. In 2008 made his T20 debut against England also got captaincy in October 2010.
