Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara has predicted England and India as the top favourites for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. In an interview with CricTracker, Sangakkara said that both teams are in excellent form and have well-balanced squads. He also highlighted the fact that both teams have experienced players who have performed well in big tournaments.
“I think England and India are going to be top favourites,” Sangakkara said. “Both teams are in great form and have very good squads. They also have experienced players who have done well in big tournaments.”

Sangakkara also said that other teams like Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan could also challenge for the title. However, he felt that England and India were the two teams to beat.
“Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan are also good teams,” Sangakkara said. “But I think England and India are the two best teams in the world right now.” Only time will tell if Sangakkara’s prediction comes to pass. But there is no doubt that England and India are two of the strongest teams in the world right now.
