Unlucky to end on the wrong side of the result but drop a 🤩 to congratulate Wanindu Hasaranga on becoming only the third player to pick up a hat-trick in #T20WorldCup. 👏🏻👏🏻#PlayBold #SAvSL pic.twitter.com/2maB47TLu7

Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee is the primary player to have completed this feat in the history of the T20 World Cups. The speeder picked up a hat-trick in the inaugural release of the match against Bangladesh at Cape Town in 2007.

This is not the primary time Wanindu Hasaranga has dazzled spectators with his hat-trick. He had released 3-atters in three back-to-back deliveries in his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2017.
