Ashton Agar is not going to play in the BBL finals, and he could jeopardize his availability for Australia’s tour of New Zealand. Currently, he is playing for the Perth Scorchers and suffering from his calf injury.

Ashton injured his calf while batting for Australia during the 3rd ODI against India; He also missed 3 matches T20I series. Agar also suffered a fractured finger in the ODI series, but the calf is the main issue.
Allrounder Mitchell Marsh is also unavailable for the next match of Sydney Sixers after suffering a side strain against Hobart Hurricanes. March is going to bowl again in the tournament. However, he expected to play as a batsman only.
Perth Scorchers ruled out Ashton Agar for the team to the home form a portion of the BBL season. They think that he would recover in time for the finals series, starting on 26 January. But his recovery is taking longer than expected now the team is thinking of playing the whole tournament without him.

Australia will play a 5 match T20I series in New Zealand, which is going to starts on February 22. The Australian team has to fly there and complete their 14 days quarantine in New Zealand before playing any match, So the Australian squad has to fly thereafter the day BBL final. If Agar could not recover from his injury, he will not going to fly with the team.
Perth Scorchers is performing pretty well in the match. They are on a five-game winning streak. The winning streak coincided with Marsh’s return to bowling in the last five games after overcoming an ankle injury that he suffers during IPL. He has given the captaincy to focus on his fitness. Currently, He is the second most economical bowler and has posted two half-centuries in this season.
